Spot Cleaning Your Carpets

Speed is the key to cleaning a spill or spoil. Carpet Spotter, available exclusively from members of the Association of Master Carpet Cleaners, is specially formulated for spot cleaning of spills.

Step 1 Remove any loose matter or debris.

Step 2 Lightly mop any spills with paper towel or cleaning cloth

Step 3 Using a foam pad and Carpet Spotter, lightly blot the soiled area, moving in slowly from edge to centre. Do not rub! Do not wet too much!

Step 4 Leave to dry.

Step 5 Vacuum when dry.

Many food stains are 'fixed' by heat. Never apply heat to a fabric or carpet before tackling a stain, not even hot water and certainly not a hair dryer! Always use cold water.
