Master-Shield Carpet Protection Treatment

You've just had your carpets and upholstery professionally cleaned - now is the time to protect against most spoils with Master-Shield protection treatment.

How does it work?

Without going into the chemistry, Master-Shield carpet and upholstery protection increases the surface tension of the fabric and applies a protective coating, making it difficult for liquids and soil to penetrate the fibres.

What Master-Shield carpet and upholstery protection does NOT do

Protective treatments such as Master-Shield will not always enable liquids to bead up the fibres. Usually the liquids will drop between the fibres.

No fabric protector will prevent fading or increase the durability of a carpet fibre or upholstery fabric. And protective treatments are not a substitute for normal household maintenance such as vacuuming.

What Master-Shield protection WILL do

Preserve appearance Master-Shield protection will allow dirt to be removed easily, keeping carpets and upholstery looking like new for longer.

Resist soiling With Master-Shield protection, dirt does not adhere to the carpet fibres and so vacuuming is more effective. Master-Shield protected carpet and upholstery will stay clean for two to three times longer than untreated carpet or upholstery.

Protect from spills Most spills will not penetrate carpet fibres treated with Master-Shield. Liquids can be easily mopped up, thus preventing staining. Stains that have dried can usually be removed with cleaning fluid (for oil-based stains) or water (water-based stains). Always seek professional advice before attempting to remove stains.

Protection that lasts Even under heavy traffic, Master-Shield protection can remain effective for up to three years with regular vacuuming and cleaning.

Safe to use Master-Shield protection can be used on all kinds of fabrics and fibres without changing the look, feel or the ability of the material to 'breathe'. It can be applied to the brightest whites, deepest blacks, most intense colours or pastels without affecting their intensity or subtlety.
